Rimas Girskis is the BC "Azovmash" Head Coach.
- I'm not a strange person in "Azovmash", as we are already five seasons together. I had to miss all the last season. I wasn't engaged in any kind of coach's activities, because of a hard disease. I'm glad, that I managed to overcome it and that God restored my health. It is pleasant, that the Club's Direction proposed me to continue working as the Head Coach. - The Team has certain troubles now, injuries pursue "Azovmash" again. As well as there are the gaps in the game which should be filled. - Injuries can't make anybody happy. Unfortunately, our team's injured players number gets no less. Again, this Saturday Panagiotis Liadellis will not be able to help us, Lishchuk's participation in this game is questionable, Chapin hasn't played a game yet. The team is excellent, but the injuries, and, also, that the team hasn't found its game yet are the problems. For me, who has just recently occupied the Head Coach position and proceeded to the coach's work, lacks time to improve the team's game, to make it more qualitative and more reliable. There are many questions and the responsibility is big. First of all, we need to work in defence, we need to set it correctly. - "Azovmash" will play next game in the capital against BC "Kiev". Did the game of the Kiev team change much with the new coach arrival to the team? - BC "Kiev" plays different basketball now. It plays agressively in defence, a very good selection of players. And it is felt, that the team is in a good physical shape. It will be a very difficult game, like always, though. BC "Azovmash" Press Service. |
